Freedom To Choose

Freedom To Choose

How you feel, what you do, who or what you know yourself to be, what you stand for in this realm,

you have the freedom to choose.

You have the right to choose.

I am a full believer in there being no inherent meaning to anything in this world – until we choose the meaning.

For each and every thing we encounter.

Society and ‘groupthink’ on this planet loves to ascribe meaning for us, for so many things.

But it’s somebody else’s meaning that makes sense to THEM.

And it remains somebody else’s meaning – until you fully examine it and process it and then decide if it suits YOU.

…And now you’ve made a conscious choice, because that is your freedom and your right.

Nobody else processes things the way YOU do. Therefore nobody else can ascribe meaning for you.

There is a very famous book that was once written as a “code to live by”…

But each of us is writing our own.

Don’t fall into the trap of just reading and following someone else’s.

Go deep into finding meaning for all the big things and the little things – don’t just accept what you’ve been told.

Then proudly exercise your right to choose, stay strong in those choices for the duration of their usefulness to you…

and remember that every single human being has the freedom and the right to do the same for themselves.
