Do you ever ask yourself the question, in times of feeling a lack of direction:
“Who am I, if I’m not that?”
The answer that comes most often to me is,
“I am who I know myself to be.”
If, right now, you don’t have the words, the clarity, the plan… it’s okay.
You are still who you know yourself to be.
The ‘knowing’ may sometimes be just a feeling, a sense, little more than a wisp of certainty that’s hard to catch hold of and fully ignite…
Very often, it’s just a quiet and elusive knowing because it needs to be – for a while, at least.
Let it be.
Be gentle with that feeling and continue to focus on the things you love to do.
Continue to seek joy, to be kind to yourself and others, to hold close a gentle curiosity.
You are who you know yourself to be. And knowing isn’t always dressed tidily in words.
…But it is always there, being what it needs to be right now.

Thank you for this Helen. Reminding myself of this idea consistently.. came right in time today… It fades, then becomes clear and then it evolves just a little more 🙂
